Rising from (City Heights) Eastside San Diego, CA. Nayib Joshua Villarini professionally known as “NawGee” is always pushing himself to achieve more success in his music career. Looking to perfect his technical abilities and develop his own unique style/sound, NawGee draws upon his San Diego roots and lifelong passion for music.
NawGee is a rapper and engineer from San Diego, CA who has been making music for nine years. He found his inspiration in his past experiences, & struggles, that juggled both; trials and tribulations. His goal with his music is to remind the industry that real music does still exists, even if it's rare.
NawGee first gained recognition in the industry with his collaboration "Been at the Bottom" with "Cali G." Despite facing obstacles, such as incarceration, he never lost his passion for making music. He continued to release projects on Soundcloud, including "Politics is Politics" featuring his beloved brother rest in peace “Lil Cash” , which gathered a stunning 30,000 streams in approximately 24 hours.
In 2021, NawGee released his first official mixtape, "Sorry 4 the Hollup." With multiple single records released afterwards, It was all followed by his EP "StartED 4rm Scratch" in January 2023. He named the EP "StartED 4rm Scratch" to reflect his growth and the journey he took to build his own studio from the ground up. NawGee taught himself everything he needed to know about mixing, mastering, and engineering to make good music.
NawGee's next mixtape, "Pain N Designer," will be released on April 4th, 2024, and promises to be his most impactful release yet. He uses his music to express his pain and struggle, creating a sound that is authentic and rare. With his technical skills and musical talent, NawGee is poised to become one of the biggest names in hip-hop and rap.
